The insurance of the vehicle (legal insurance)

Your MyPop Membership starts on the day you receive your Vehicle and will be automatically renewed per additional Billing Period, unless you cancel your M2M Membership by written notice. One billing period always equals one month.

You don’t need to do anything if you wish to keep your vehicle for another month. However, if you want to cancel your MYPOP membership, the MyPop membership has a minimum duration of one (1) billing period. This means that you must cancel your membership fourteen (14) days prior to the next billing date in order for the membership not to be renewed for another billing period.

To cancel your MyPop membership, you can go to your customer profile directly on the site fourteen (14) days before the next billing date. If we receive a notice of cancellation later than 14 days before the next billing date, and you are unable to return the vehicle to us in time, the contract will continue for an additional billing period from that billing date, and the contract will only be terminated at the end of that additional billing period.

After termination of the contract, your MyPop membership will continue until the contract termination date. Our team will contact you to organise the return and you then have two options:

Return (Free): you return the vehicle to our premises in Vilvoorde from Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.

Home pick-up (€139 incl. VAT): our partner Mobvious will collect the vehicle at a time that suits you, Monday to Friday.

Both private and business interested parties can become our customers. When they hold a European driving licence (which must be at least 24 months old). There must not have been a revocation of the driving licence in the last 5 years. The minimum age to rent our vehicles is 23 (26 for some models).

It is possible to add an extra driver to your contract, paying 25 euros a month extra.

To add a driver, you must wait for the vehicle to be delivered. You can then add a driver to your rental by going to your user profile. Your invitation is sent via SMS to the person, who can then visit the website, click on "log in," and enter their mobile number. The process is fully digital and automatic.

Select your vehicle Go to the https://www.my-pop.be/ homepage and choose the vehicle that suits you best, log in to the platform with your phone number and add the vehicle to your cart. If you would like a vehicle as soon as possible, check availability directly by clicking on the vehicle to see the information and availability.

Add personal info and billing information Fill in the various fields with your personal details. This way we can contact you easily after your purchase.

Pay the deposit amount Proceed to the payment of the amount indicated for the deposit of your vehicle. This deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental period directly to the same bank account.

Add your driving license Follow the instructions to submit your driving license in order for your booking to be accepted. You must have held a B license for at least 2 years.

If your vehicle is available immediately, our team will call you to schedule an appointment within 24 to 48 hours. Two options are available:

Collection in Vilvoorde (free of charge): We wait for you at our office. Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Home delivery (€139 incl. VAT): Your vehicle will be delivered directly to your desired location thanks to our partner.

Handing over the keys: The moment you’ll get the keys of the vehicle, our team will inspect the condition of the vehicle with you. From the moment you leave our office, you are responsible for it as if it were yours.

A deposit will be charged at the time of booking your vehicle. This way we make sure that you will take care of the vehicle as if it were your own. At the time of handing over the keys of the vehicle, an inventory and inspection of the vehicle must be carried out with the person who handed over the vehicle to you. In case of any damage to the vehicle, the authorized driver shall clearly indicate this to the person who delivers the vehicle. The risk of loss or damage of the vehicle passes to you as soon as you take physical possession of the Vehicle.

The amount of the deposit will depend on the type of vehicle going from 800 to 1500€. 

This amount will be debited from your bank account. It will be refunded to you on the same account at the end of your rental subscription when the vehicle is returned with no damage. Once the car is delivered to you we will charge you the first monthly rental fee.

You may cancel your order at any time, without incurring any costs in relation to the order, as long as you have not yet taken possession of your vehicle and that you have given more than 3 days notice. In this case we will refund you the deposit.

Our team will arrange a time to pick up/return the vehicle. An inspection of the vehicle will be conducted together to check that everything has gone smoothly.

Our team will take the vehicle back and you will get your deposit back, minus any damage or costs incurred in returning the vehicle (full tank of petrol, car wash, extra miles driven).

We update our site daily according to the models available immediately. Therefore, our offer may vary from day to day.

The minimum rental period is one month. As for the maximum period, we try to rotate the vehicles to have a new or nearly new fleet. Therefore, during your rental period, you may be asked to exchange your vehicle for a newer model. Generally, contracts are monthly and renew automatically unless the customer or MyPop decides to terminate the contract.

It is possible to rent/lease a car with your company/firm. You can enter the details for this when creating your reservation/contract. If you are a fleet manager, you can always contact us to organise this together.

In case of breakdown, call the service department of the brand of vehicle. (check the instruction manual in the glove compartment)

In case of an accident, call AG Insurance: +32 78 15 3000 (say you are a MyPop customer)

Inform MyPop of the accident within 24 hours via mypop@poppy.be (European accident form and as many photos as possible attached)

Civil liability insurance: MyPop undertakes to take out legal civil liability insurance to cover damage caused to third parties while using the vehicle. This insurance covers material damage or bodily injury that you may cause to other people or their property while using the vehicle.

Excess: In the event of a claim under your third-party motor insurance, you may be required to pay an excess. The amount of the deductible may vary depending on your age.

Damage to the vehicle: If you cause damage to the vehicle while it is in use, you may be held responsible for this damage. You may be charged for the cost of repairing or replacing the vehicle, in addition to any excess.

User's liability: You are liable for all damages, losses and costs arising from your failure to comply with MyPop's terms and conditions, including damage to the vehicle, accessories or third parties, related expenses, fines, and any breach of contract.

If none of these options are available near you, you can go to an official garage for the brand of your vehicle and contact us to find out how to proceed.

After the first missed monthly payment, MyPop reserves the right to terminate the vehicle rental. Our reminder procedure is as follows:

Step 1: The invoice is sent on the first day of the rental month (Day+0). If payment is not successful, we attempt again on the second (Day+2) and fourth (Day+4) days.

Step 2: If payment is still unsuccessful, we send a free reminder on Day+5, including a payment link for your convenience. You can use this link to pay the invoice directly with your  payment method.

Step 3: If payment is still not validated, we send a first reminder with administrative fees of 8% of the unpaid amount on Day+19.

Step 4: In the event of non-payment of the invoice, we will terminate the rental on Day+25 and retrieve the vehicle. All recovery and administrative fees will be charged to you at that point, and your security deposit will be retained.

We also reserve the right to block the vehicle from the 5th day in case of a suspicious unpaid balance or if we believe the vehicle is not being used normally (high mileage, contact with the police, frequent and cumulative unpaid amounts, etc.).

When returning the car, we carry out an inspection based on Renta's standard standards, which are applied by all rental and leasing companies in Belgium*. More details on the standards can be found via the link here. The inspection is documented by means of photos taken (together with you) and the signing of a document. Of course, we compare the check-in document with the check-out document to assess whether or not we charge for the damage. Since we look at the damage when we pick up the vehicle and when we return it, you need not worry if a few scratches are visible on the vehicle at the start.

Consult possible fines and extra billed items

The MyPop cars don't have Poppy's logo on each side but we put a small MyPop logo on the back of the car (7 cm on 7 cm). This logo helps the MyPop project to be better known on the market.
